Any questions?

Here you will find important information about application, admission, enrollment and more.

Almost all courses at the three Allianz universities take place in German. For an admission, very good knowledge of German is therefore necessary. The corresponding knowledge must be proven by a passed German exam.

Für jeden Studiengang gelten andere Anforderungen.
It is best to find out on the pages of the universities which language skills you need for your desired course of study.

In order to be able to study at the Allianz Universities, you need a school or university degree, which is Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB) anerkannt ist. Je nach Vorbildung gibt es verschiedene Arten der HZB:

Direkte HZB:

You can start studying right away.

Indirekte HZB:

Before you start your studies, you must have a Studienkolleg besuchen und die sogenannte Feststellungsprüfung bestehen. Danach erhältst du automatisch eine fachgebundene direkte HZB.

Allgemeine HZB:

You may study any subject at a German university - regardless of subject area.

Fachgebundene HZB:

You may only choose certain fields of study - depending on which subject you have already studied in your home country or in which areas you have taken exams
In Deutschland unterscheidet man dabei folgende Fachrichtungen:

  • G/SHumanities and Linguistics
  • WSocial and Economic Sciences
  • TTechnology and Natural Sciences
  • M: Medicine and Biology

Before applying, you can check your HZB yourself:

  • anabin – The information portal on foreign educational qualifications
  • uni-assist Here you will find country-specific information
  • DAAD-Zulassungsdatenbank – There you can check online whether your degree is recognized
(Die Seiten sind auf Deutsch und Englisch verfügbar.)

In Germany, you usually do not have to pay tuition fees at state colleges and universities. However, there is a semester fee. This consists mainly of the costs for the Germany semester ticket, the AStA contribution and a contribution for the Studierendenwerk. The amount of the semester fee is between about 300–330 € per semester.

With the Abitur you should definitely clarify for yourself right at the beginning:

Would you like to go to a university (scientifically oriented university)?

Or do you feel more comfortable at a university of applied sciences

Die Entscheidung können wir dir nicht abnehmen. Aber wir können dir zeigen, was typisch ist für unsere Hochschulen – damit du schon mal grundsätzlich checken kannst, ob es passt.

You are more practical?

Great, if you want to apply knowledge in everyday life, that corresponds exactly to the idea of universities. You can usually find more theoretical courses at the universities. If you aspire to a scientific career, it is easier for you to study at a university.

With us, on the other hand, you are more prepared for a profession. It is primarily about applying knowledge in very well-equipped laboratories - perhaps in the form of a 3D printer, a car, a robot or another practical application.

Questions are often worked on together with companies from the region. And because our teachers worked in a company for at least three years before their teaching assignment, you are very close to the developments and requirements of the professional world - to which practical assignments in companies during their studies also contribute and open up very good job opportunities for you later.

You like it personally?

If your professor knows you, it's because you're not just anyone among many!

The contact of teachers and students is usually very close in universities. Clear groups enable a very good care relationship for everyone, which is often the exception at large universities.

With us you not only know your professors, but they also know you. So you always have competent contact persons around you who can help you individually. And they make sure that your learning workload remains realistic.

The cohesion among your fellow students is of course also closer than in a confusing, anonymous mass, because you get to know each other quickly in small learning groups and contacts can be made more easily.

You like to keep an overview?

If orderly study conditions are important to you, you don't have to completely change with us

Even if the word school is in "university": quite a lot will be new for you when you start your studies, some things may be confusing at first and you feel more intensively challenged. At a university, you are usually expected to be particularly independent organizational skills from the beginning, so that you can keep an overview of your tasks and goals in the jungle of numerous courses and examination regulations.

At our university of applied sciences, on the other hand, the curriculum is more fixed overall and you have to design less yourself - this makes the transition to studies easier for many, which is clearer with us than at a university.

Can you imagine a master's degree?

If you want to continue studying after your bachelor's degree, you can do so both with us and at a university!

If you do not want to start your professional life after passing the bachelor's examination, you can continue your studies in order to obtain an additional master's degree. Your advantage: The bachelor's degrees of universities of applied sciences and universities are equivalent. This means that you have the opportunity to continue both with us and at a university.

With this choice, of course, you can still take your time until the time comes. But it should certainly be interesting for you today to know that you will have this freedom and flexibility later.

Maybe you want to do your doctor too?

This is also possible at a university. Together with doctoral colleges, we support you in cooperation with a university on your way to your doctoral degree.

Ja, alle drei Hochschulen haben International Offices, die Studieninteressierten Unterstützung leisten.
